Spotlight
You clench the microphone tightly.
You flash a wide toothy grin, the auditorium roared with claps and cheers. Whistles were heard all around you. The spotlight shone upon your lightly maked up face.
The intro to your hit song played, and the crowd just roared louder. You close your eyes. You took yourself back to the time when you first performed in a tiny little cafe. You met your agent, and currently boyfriend, Antonio. You remember going to the talent agency's small office, which was now one of the biggest agencies in the world, because of your popularity.
The opening verse played, and you open your lips, causing your voice to flow out. The auditorium was silent now, but the twinkles of a thousand cameras flashed continuosly.
You sang your heart out the rest of the entire song. Your hard work must've paid off, because when you ended, the whole audience cheered and cheered. You were smiling happily, until you heard sirens blare all over the place. The lights turned red and everyone was panicking. "Wh-WHAT?! WHAT'S GOING ON?!"
A darkness washed over you.
You groan as you rolled across your bed to turn your alarm clock off. You grumbled, "Welcome back to reality."
Your cell buzzed. You checked it and smiled and blushed when you see that Antonio sent you a message.
It's been a year since you've met your agent. Were things going well? Well, they were, but you weren't doing as good as you were in your dream. You perform in multiple locations, but you can't say that they were big jobs. Antonio, your agent, and your boyfriend, did his best to get you a big gig. You always told him not to work too hard, but he refused to slack even for a bit.
Opening his message, you read each word carefully.
"Hey. I bet you just woke up, si?"
You laugh.
"Listen, ______, I got you a big gig. I finally did, just now! Meet me at the office ASAP."
You sighed when you thought of going to the slightly cramped office, but smiled as you read the last sentence he sent.
"Te amo*, ______."
